Collection: Moonstone
Moonstones belong to the feldspar group and are known for their characteristic adularescence – a soft, shimmering effect that usually appears in shades of blue or white. This effect is caused by light scattering in fine layered structures within the stone. High-quality moonstones with a strong blue shimmer and good transparency are relatively rare. Significant deposits are located in Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, and Madagascar.

Moonstone as an investment
Moonstone is currently still primarily considered a collector's item and gemstone, but it is gaining increasing importance in the gemstone market. High-quality specimens with a strong blue hue, good transparency, and uniform adularescence are relatively rare and only available in limited quantities. Stones from Sri Lanka, in particular, command higher prices due to their optical quality. Since top-quality specimens are difficult to find, the interest of collectors and enthusiasts is constantly growing – therefore, moonstone can offer solid long-term value potential.

Moonstone is said to have a calming and harmonizing effect. It is believed to promote emotional balance, intuition, and inner clarity. In traditional gemstone lore, moonstone is considered the birthstone for June and is often associated with the moon and the zodiac signs Cancer and Pisces.
