Collection: Zircon

Zircon is a naturally occurring zirconium silicate and one of the oldest known gemstones on Earth. It is characterized by an exceptionally high refractive index and strong brilliance, which can give it a diamond-like appearance. Zircon occurs in colorless, blue, golden, brown, red, and green varieties. It should not be confused with the synthetically produced "zirconia." Significant deposits are located in Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Tanzania, and Australia.

  • Key properties of zirconium

Hardness: 6–7.5 on the Mohs scale – suitable for jewelry, but more delicate than many other gemstones.
Color: Colorless, blue, golden yellow, brown, red or green; intense, clear blue tones are particularly in demand.
Transparency: Transparent to translucent; high-quality stones possess very high brilliance and strong fire.
Locations: Significant deposits are found in Cambodia (known for its blue tones), Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Tanzania and Australia.

  • Zircon as an investment

Fine, naturally colored zircons with high transparency and intense color are relatively rare. Untreated specimens, in particular, are gaining increasing attention in the collector's market. Due to its high optical quality and limited availability of top-grade zircons, zircon possesses solid potential in the high-end colored gemstone segment.

  • Effect of zirconium

Zircon is associated with clarity, protection, and mental focus. It is said to promote inner stability and support positive change.
Zircon is considered the modern birthstone for the month of December .
